The State of Louisiana and the Department of Transportation and Development are proud to invite you to New Orleans, Louisiana for the 56th Annual International Highway Engineering Exchange Program Conference. This year our focus is:

“Technology Solutions for Transportation Asset Management: Solving the MAP-21 Puzzle”

For the past 55 years, the annual International Highway Engineering Exchange Conference has gathered together transportation engineers, officials and industry representatives from various countries, states, counties, cities, and consulting firms, from both North America and Europe, to explore all aspects of technology related to highway transportation. This conference provides a PEER exchange of information, ideas, and experiences as well as exposure to the latest technological advances and solutions. In addition, our vendor partners provide informative presentations and also demonstrate their software and hardware solutions in the vendor display area adjacent to the meeting facilities.

I invite your organization to participate by sending one or more delegates to the conference. If your organization consults, provides hardware / software, or are a technology solutions provider, I also invite you to consider sponsoring a booth in our vendor hall.

On May 7, 1718 Frenchman Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville founded La Nouvelle Orleans laying out 66 squares of a walled village now called the French Quarter. As one of the top 10 tourist destination cities in the country, New Orleans is world-famous for its historical multicultural roots and its abundance of unique architectural styles. New Orleans has an incredible number of museums, music venues, entertainment options, historical locations, and stands alone as the most unique culinary city on earth.

I invite you to attend the 2014 conference and join in the collaboration, friendship, and sharing. I also invite you to spend extra time in Louisiana and enjoy the many attractions, good music, incredible food and southern hospitality.

Sincerely,
